The lightning Lions

Rata Tree art

At the Urewera National Park tawa track there is a tree called the rata tree and it is 800 to 1000 years old and 13 meters high. The rata tree grows from the top to the bottom and on the tree.  There are widow makers that killed heaps of men in the olden days when they cut the trees down .

Darkness surrounding me as my torch flickers in the dark

I Hear Kids screaming their heads off as the parents scare them

I Smell The soggy wet mud rushing into my shoes like a waterfall

I Taste Dirt crinkling like mud in my mouth

I Think I’m lost forever, I can’t find the track to get home.

My trip to india

My trip to the zoo!!

Wow have you ever been to a zoo, not any zoo, an Indian Zoo? I have.

Monkeys screaming everywhere, will it ever stop? I stared at the monkeys and they yelled at me and I got scared I felt like they were going to climb out of the cage and attack me. So I ran away to look at a nicer creature.

After we looked at the monkeys we walked down an enormous     alleyway. Next we saw two black and white tigers, they were just lying down on the ground and they looked like they were dead. We saw orange and black tigers they looked scary too. After we went to look at the big fat hippos there skin was dry and one of the hippos opened its mouth. It was huge and I thought that if I was down there they might of swallowed me they looked really ugly too.

Soon we went to the elephants they were sad because they were tied up with chains on their legs and they couldn't move properly. I felt sad for them. Later we went on a bus and I got scared because there were lions wandering around a jungle. I saw heaps of lions they looked tired.
