My reflection on beep test!

On the 15th October 2014 Room 7 done a beep test for the second time. My score is 6.5. I bet my other score it was 2.5 I worked hard and tried my best but my goal is to get 8.5. 

Party Time! in the Holidays!

Party Time!

During the holidays on the 12th of October 2014. It was my grandmothers birthday. My family and I sprinted past the driveway and through the door. I walked up the stairs and sat on the couch and waited for my baby girl cousin to wake up, while I was waiting I was watching t.v and my mum was cooking dinner. I was waiting for a few minutes and WALLAH! her eyes opened up in a second, I picked her up and rooked her back and forwards. That's when the food was ready, I ate chips and got a drink. after we started to dance and when we were done dancing we drove back to home.

Reflection on Optimist Yachting day 1

On the 15th of September 2014, Room 7 and 11 went to optimist yachting at Pandora pond. Everyone was excited and nervous. Room 7 did kayaking first and then yachting. I felt pretty excited because I've experienced it before. On the kayaks I went on a single kayak and I got all soaked. When room 7 did yachting I went with my buddy and we were slow because there weren't that much air in our sail. During the yachting me and my buddy nearly capsized means ( nearly tipped over) we came back to shore and got out of the yacht, me and my buddy were soaked when we came out of the yacht and we were cold.

Production Diary 2014

Beginning: 25th of August:

Dear Diary, let me introduce myself. My name is Harsimar Dugh and my role in the production is doing a Warrior Dance, Singing and Poi... So far on the 25th of August we have been practicing our role on the stage and getting ready in our uniforms for tomorrow, the dress rehearsal day. I am confident to perform the Warrior dance and singing to the audience.

Tuesday, 26th of August:

Dear Diary, I am back. Today was the dress rehearsal day. Everyone was wearing their costumes and moko face paint. I was nervous when I wore my costume and got a moko on my chin because I've never worn one before. It felt wet, cold and

itchy and it even smelt like ink. I can’t wait till the real performance tomorrow night.

Wednesday, 27th of August:

Dear Diary, Today it was our performance, it was to the juniors. After the whole production it was time for lunch. Then everyone went to the hall to get a treat and it was a delicious ice blocks my flavor was purple it tasted like grape, it was yummy!  

Thursday, 28th of August:
Yesterday night it was Awesome. But I felt pretty nervous when I got on that stage again. I was terrified my headband was falling up an down. When the performance was finished, I dashed to room 10 and seriously I was relived that dress was off me.

Mountain Biking!

When I was ready I push my pedal down and race down the tunnel. A spark of light flashes towards my eyes. I rush down the steep mountain and my heart is pounding. As I feel sweat rolling down my nervous face, I think to myself “this is too nerve wracking for me.”

As I feel goosebumps appearing on my skin, I thought i’d see bumps of rocks gripped to the ground. But Instead I see sharp edges ahead I try to turn but I was to fast then I spot a big tree I push the break down I skidded I glanced back I had dented the dirt.

When I got out of that situation I heard the crowd cheering for me they called out “come on you're nearly at the end,” I got hard I pushed myself “I'm nearly at the end, i'm nearly at the end,” I chanted in my head.

I see the finish line but as I see another person behind me I count 1 2 3 “I won,” I look back and scream “I won.”

Beep Test practice!

Beep Test!

On the 14th of August 2014 room 7 done a beep test. A beep test is only a 20 metre run, we did it for our cross country. My score was 2.6 I tried my best. My goal is to get 5.6 next time.

Today Ihaia West came to room 7, some of the room 10 kids came as well, he is a magpie player he came to room 7 to talk to us, we asked some questions to him we also got order graphs from him.

On Wednesday room 7 did a cooking challenge at school. My group was called The Survivor Ninjas and in my group there was Tiaana, Mason, Me, kane and Samontae.

Last Friday on the 11th of April, room 7 did a art called The Indian Ink Art. We had to copy and sketch any kind of object we could find, I used a paint bottle and I designed the background. After all that this is how it looks like.

Wow now it is finished!!

My Story on room 7’s assembly item!!

I’m entering the room and my heart is pounding in fright, as mr cottrell yells out “we have to quickly line up and hurry to the hall,” as I dash into the hall and bounce on the stage when I see . . . .

about 500 hundred people staring at room 7 on stage in the hall, and some teachers just getting really excited, when i'm starting to hear screaming and screeches it doesn’t seem like it’s going to be a good performance for me, so I dash out the door but then I hear little children saying “WOW.” now I feel Like my skin is crinkling up in coldness, and my whole body is covered with goosebumps, now I smell sweat rolling down peoples bodies.

 

When room 7 starts to perform the 3 amazing and hilarious imagine poems, which were poppy, Nicole and Blair. After a few minutes when they were finished, everyone in room 7 stood up and the DJ put a music on.

We danced to a song called Move your body by Beyonce, we dashed to our places with no rush, later the song was finishing, paia fell when she was jogging, but she did not cry she just carried on smiling, she was really brave, but I think she would be feeling really embarrassed, by the way these 4 amazing girls called Georgia, Tiaana, Paia and Shakayla did a cool performance which was called The Wild Wild West.

They danced to that song, when the loud song was finished It was time to let the spotlight to poppy, so all of room 7 stood up with poppy and danced to a really cool song called Brave by sara bareilles, we danced to it and made ourselves be really brave, I was really proud of myself.

Conclusion:

I think room 7 had a great time at their assembly item, we all had so much fun and had some exercises, I liked everyone’s cool dance moves.

Mixed fairy tale story

My Fairy Tale Story.

Once upon a time there lived a little girl called Goldilocks she went out to the forest to hear the beautiful breeze. But after that when she took 4 steps into the forest she turned around and saw that nothing was behind her, she felt like she had lost everything. After an hour she was so hungry that she nearly fainted, suddenly she saw a delicious gingerbread man, she reached out to grab it but it ran away and Yelled out “ Run Run as fast as you can you can’t catch me i'm the Gingerbread man” but she didn’t care she wanted that delicious gingerbread man, so she dashed after it, 3 minutes went past and Goldilocks was still chasing him but she didn’t catch him she yelled out “you cheeky little rascal I’ll get you some day”  After, few hours went past she didn’t have anything to live in or anything to eat, she was starving to death. When she was walking along the creaking paths, she saw a house made out of candy she licked her lips, she crept past it and started to gobble up the candy “mmmmmmm Yummy” she whispered as she was licking her fingers. “BURP” I guess her tummy was full, “this was the Best Day Ever!!!” as she screamed out in surprise that’s when the Gingerbread family came dashing along, this was the perfect moment to get that gingerbread family into my mouth. 1 2 3 4 5 went the gingerbread, “last one” first his head, then his body, after his legs, then his feet, after that he was all gone. But the three bears came past “what has happened to our candy house” said mama bear in a shocked voice “look, who’s that munching on our candy house” said papa bear in a angry voice. Goldilocks told them everything that had  happened over the past few hours and had nowhere to live so the three bears shout out “you can live with us” and they lived happily ever after.

My Planetarium Reflection

On Tuesday the 20th May 2014 Room 7 and 10 went to the planetarium at Napier boys high, We got to look at stars, planets and a space shuttles, we all had fun and enjoyed the planet
experiences.
